2026 Ras Al Khaimah casino guide: plan for Wynn's September 2027 opening

Is Wynn Al Marjan open for visitors yet?

The answer in brief

The Ras Al Khaimah casino is planned within Wynn Al Marjan Island on Al Marjan Island, but it was still closed to the public on 10 August 2026. Wynn's latest official update puts guest arrivals in September 2027.

What kind of resort is Wynn Al Marjan Island?

A full destination rather than a gaming hall alone

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be Wynn's first integrated resort in the Middle East and North Africa, and its developers call it the UAE's first. The plan combines a hotel, licensed gaming facility, restaurants, entertainment, retail, spa, beach, marina and events centre at one destination.

Where it is and who is involved

More than 60 hectares of Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah are allocated to the project, which faces the Arabian Gulf. The joint venture brings together entities linked to Wynn Resorts, Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding, while Island 3 AMI FZ-LLC is the name recorded in the gaming licence register.

What the resort label tells visitors

The description sets the gaming area in context. Published material currently concentrates on the hotel, restaurants, beach and events, while the resort has not released the detailed game mix or confirmed every gaming facility detail.

Wynn Al Marjan targets a September 2027 opening

The newest official reference

In its second quarter results on 4 August 2026, Wynn said the resort is due to welcome guests in September 2027. That is the newest month-specific guidance, replacing pages that mention only 2027, the first quarter of 2027 or spring 2027.

How the target moved

Earlier investor material pointed to the first quarter of 2027. Wynn then flagged a modest delay in May 2026 and said it would give more detail later, which the August release did by setting the current target at September 2027.

Can the month still change?

A company results release is stronger evidence than a property listing or travel blog, yet it remains a forward-looking target while the resort is being fitted out. Check the official resort website and Wynn investor releases before paying for a non-refundable trip.

Project path from announcement to opening

Dates that changed the project record

The sequence below keeps earlier targets in their place instead of letting them look current. It follows the Ras Al Khaimah casino from an announced idea to a licensed facility under construction with a defined opening month.

Why November and December both appear

A Wynn project page places the 70-floor ceremony on 25 November 2025, while later corporate updates put the structural concrete milestone in December 2025. November therefore marks the site ceremony and December records the later structural stage, keeping two separate references instead of collapsing them into one date.

Construction progress through August 2026

The tower and facade

In its 2 February 2026 release, Wynn said structural concrete reached the roof of level 71 and that 21,852 of 26,471 facade panels were installed, or 83%. The guest website calls it a 70-floor tower, so both official descriptions remain visible here without deriving a new floor count. Interim height figures have varied in Wynn releases, while the published end target remains 352 metres above sea level after the spire is installed.

Interior work and low-rise buildings

Installation of lifts and escalators was advancing, alongside mechanical, electrical and finishing work across the guest inventory. Concrete and structural steel for the low-rise buildings had reached 99%, but that percentage does not mean those areas were ready to receive guests.

The Wynn Bridge connection

The new 548-metre Wynn Bridge is intended to connect the resort via Wynn Boulevard with E311 and E611. On 2 February 2026 it was 48% complete, with piling finished and nine of ten bridge column pile caps in place; Wynn was then aiming for completion in late 2026.

What August adds

Wynn's August results described rapid construction progress, and its second quarter presentation showed substantial interior work on 15 July 2026. Neither source supplied a newer facade or bridge percentage, so the February figures remain attached to their original date rather than being raised by assumption.

Gaming area and resort scale by the numbers

The official area used here

Wynn's 2025 annual report, filed in March 2026, records a gaming area of 225,000 sq ft. That is about 20,900 sqm, and it is the figure used here because it comes from the newest direct corporate filing.

Why 18,500 sqm still appears

Older property and news articles, along with current search results, often repeat an approximate 18,500 sqm gaming floor. Wynn has not explained whether the figures describe different spaces, so the older estimate remains separate and is not added to the newer figure.

MeasurementFigure selectedInterpretation
Gaming floor225,000 sq ft, or about 20,900 sqmNewest figure in Wynn's annual filing
Older figure still seen onlineApproximately 18,500 sqmEarlier estimate, not the lead figure here

Structure in the February update299 metres measured through the level 71 roofDated construction height, not the finished height

What the area figure cannot tell you

A floor measurement does not show the number of tables or slots, the game mix, or the split between general and private gaming rooms. Wynn had not published those details by 10 August 2026, so a precise inventory requires a newer source from the operator.

Rooms, suites and other places to stay

The makeup of the 1,530-unit inventory

Wynn's February construction update reported structural completion for all 1,530 accommodation units, while interior fitting continued. The breakdown keeps apartments, townhomes and estates within the total, so the same units are not counted a second time.

TypeUnitsDescription in published plans
Rooms in the Resort Tower1,217Main Resort Tower rooms and suites
Suites in Enclave297An upper-floor hotel within the hotel
Units in Royal Apartments2Two apartments at the tower's top
Units in Garden Townhomes4Separate garden accommodation in the resort plan
Units in Marina Estates10Residences next to the marina
Inventory total1,530Guest inventory announced at present

What Enclave refers to

Enclave is Wynn's hotel-within-a-hotel arrangement on the upper floors, with a separate entrance, arrival area and lifts. It is centred on suites and its own service setting, but Wynn has not announced rates, packages or the reservation opening date.

Why the older 1,542 total remains online

Older Wynn releases used the 1,542 figure, which competitors still repeat. The February 2026 construction release and current resort material provide a category breakdown that totals 1,530, so this guide uses that verifiable total.

Dining, theatre, shopping and art at the resort

Twenty-two food and drink venues

The current resort website lists plans for 22 restaurants, bars and lounges, as well as a daytime beach club serving hotel guests and other resort visitors. Wynn has identified a French-American steakhouse by Alain Ducasse and a second Delilah supper club, but restaurant reservations were not open at this update.

The Showroom production with Punchdrunk

Wynn announced an original Punchdrunk production on 29 June 2026, scheduled to launch with the resort. After bookings begin, the published concept gives guests a choice between a seated performance upstairs and a moving immersive experience downstairs and backstage; show dates and prices remain unpublished.

Shopping areas and the art collection

The plans include a naturally lit shopping parterre for luxury brands, although Wynn has not released the complete store list. Art will appear in public areas and guest rooms, including the announced 11-metre Jeff Koons work Tulips and historic and contemporary pieces by regional and international artists.

The beach, pools, spa and marina

Facilities along the water

The plan includes 420 metres of private white-sand beach and a deep-water marina intended for large yachts. A daytime beach club is also part of the plan, although Wynn has not released day-pass details or access rules for non-guests.

Pools and wellness facilities

Wynn lists 12 pools with cabanas and landscaped surroundings, plus a five-star spa, salon and fitness centre. Treatment prices, opening hours and pool-entry rules are still unavailable, so they cannot yet be included in a dependable visit budget.

What families can use

The official amenities list includes a kids' club and outdoor recreation, so the resort's non-gaming areas are intended to serve families as well. Wynn has not released accepted ages, fees or supervision arrangements, and families should wait for the guest policy before arranging childcare.

Meetings and events at Coral Court

An events centre covering 7,708 sqm

Coral Court is planned as the resort's centre for events and celebrations, with a published area of 7,708 sqm. The space will contain six meeting rooms that can be reconfigured, separate salons for brides and grooms, and private prayer rooms for men and women.

The Grand Ballroom has no columns

The column-free Grand Ballroom measures 2,633 sqm and looks over the marina. Organisers can use that measurement to compare venues, but it does not give a guest capacity because tables, stages, aisles and production equipment change the layout.

Questions to settle before booking

By 10 August 2026, Wynn had not published venue packages, prices or minimum spends. When sales open, request a written capacity plan and a quote that covers production, catering, cancellation and accessibility instead of calculating attendance from the floor area alone.

Al Marjan Island location and getting to the resort

The nearest airport and the Dubai journey

The resort is on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, not in Dubai. Its website places Ras Al Khaimah International Airport about 15 minutes away by car, while a 2025 Wynn financing release estimated about 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport.

What Wynn Bridge changes

The 548-metre bridge is intended to give the resort a more direct connection to the wider road network, but the latest detailed release still described it as under construction. Treat it as closed until Wynn announces completion or a current mapping service confirms the route.

Prepare for arrival day

Once bookings open, confirm the final drop-off point because the hotel, events centre and marina may have different entrances. Leave extra time for delays, and pay for a transfer only when it appears in a written reservation confirmation.

  • Check the airport, terminal and flight number before arranging transport.
  • Review E311, E611 and Wynn Bridge traffic on the travel day.
  • Ask the hotel to name the entrance and baggage drop-off location.
  • Confirm parking, valet and accessible arrival options when booking.

The GCGRA licence and the facility operator

The licensee's legal name

The GCGRA licensee register records Island 3 AMI FZ-LLC, trading as Wynn Al Marjan, among land-based gaming facilities. On 4 October 2024, Wynn announced that this project entity had received the UAE's first commercial gaming facility operator licence.

What this licence proves

The register shows that the named entity is licensed by GCGRA for this particular land-based facility. It lists The Game LLC separately as the UAE Lottery operator, confirming that land-based facilities and lottery products use different licence categories. Wynn Al Marjan is expected to become the Gulf Cooperation Council's first licensed casino when it opens, and the wider rules are covered on our UAE gambling laws page.

Checks still needed before opening

Before players are admitted, Wynn must publish the gaming floor's final age, identity, admission, responsible gaming and complaints arrangements. Until those terms are released, rules for other Wynn properties cannot be assumed to apply here.

Details Wynn has not released

What was known on 10 August 2026

Resort operations can change during the months before opening, so the missing details belong beside the confirmed figures. The table distinguishes an email registration, design image or third-party offer from an actual booking or operating commitment.

An email sign-up does not reserve anything

Wynn's website collects email addresses and areas of interest for news and early updates. It does not hold a room, restaurant table or theatre seat, and it sets neither a price nor priority without a separate booking confirmation.

How to check a claim

Use the resort website first, compare the licence with the GCGRA register, and compare the opening date with Wynn's newest investor release. When an official channel omits a detail, leave it marked unannounced instead of importing another resort's policy.

  1. Read the date on the page or release, not only the headline.
  2. Separate a construction target from an event that has happened.
  3. Save the booking confirmation and cancellation terms when sales begin.

Plan a responsible visit after opening

Set the age and budget first

This page and its gaming content are for adults aged 18 and over. GCGRA advertising standards define anyone below 21 as underage for commercial gaming other than lottery. Wynn had not issued final gaming-floor identity and admission rules by this update, so confirm them before travelling and do not treat hotel access as access to every resort area.

A sample budget in UAE dirhams

For a future one-day entertainment budget, use 800 United Arab Emirates dirhams (AED) as an example, not as a Wynn price. Allocate AED 500 to transport, food and contingency, then set AED 300 as the gaming ceiling and keep it there whatever the result.

Rules for stopping

Choose the spending limit and end time before entering the gaming area, and keep extra cards or funds out of the plan. When either limit is reached, leave instead of moving contingency money into a new stake or chasing a loss.

  • Keep rent, bills and borrowed money out of gaming.
  • Do not increase a stake to recover an earlier loss.
  • Set an alarm for the end of the session and take regular breaks.
  • Do not use an ATM after reaching the planned limit.
  • Take a cooling-off period or use self-exclusion tools if Wynn offers them and you need a break.

When support is needed

Stop when gaming leads to hidden spending, borrowing, anxiety, or neglect of work and relationships. Our responsible gambling guide covers warning signs, a stopping plan and support options in more detail.
